Communication from the Berlin Higher Regional Court (Kammergericht) concerning the appeal on points of law (Rechtsbeschwerde) in proceedings 5 Ws 17/26
On 01.06.2026 I received the Kammergericht letter of 27.05.2026. It informed me that my appeal on points of law, recorded on 13.01.2026, against the order of the Berlin Regional Court I (Landgericht Berlin I) of 10.12.2025 was before the 5th Criminal Division (Strafsenat) and was being dealt with there under case reference 5 Ws 17/26. It merely added that, notwithstanding its workload, the Division would endeavour to decide as promptly as possible.

This letter matters because, after months of status inquiries, objections to delay and escalations through administrative supervision, it confirmed for the first time that the appeal on points of law was actually before the Kammergericht. No decision on the merits had yet been made, however.
