Two statements from pre-trial detention: an allegation of eavesdropping and a Skype request
Only in 2026, while reviewing older documents, do I rediscover two statements of my own from May 2024 which had not previously been published anywhere. Both were entered on the record by the authorised registry official of the Tiergarten Local Court (Amtsgericht Tiergarten), at the time in Moabit Prison (JVA Moabit).
10.05.2024 — Statement concerning my application for a finding of 02.04.2024: I consider that there is a risk of repetition, particularly concerning senior public prosecutor Wachs. According to the statement, OStA Wachs initially permitted only a landline telephone call, although he knew that my wife had no landline. I describe a prevented visit by my acquaintance Christoph Wiedemann from Hamburg and repeated remarks by OStA Wachs at trial hearings that Mr Wiedemann was bothering him.
17.05.2024 — Application for permission for Skype contact with my family under § 119a StPO, expressly waiving any objection to observation of or eavesdropping on the conversations.

I publish these two documents now, two years later, because they belong to point 6 of the Wachs dossier: the recurring pattern in which contact with family and trusted persons was subject to conditions. I deliberately do not reproduce the names of my wife and my then minor son on this page.
